We hope you’re recovering from Hurricane Irma’s visit! We are feeling blessed to have come out unscathed, (unlike Hurricane Charley) and hope and pray that all our dance families are getting back to some sense of a normal life! Every dancer is welcome to make up a class by coming to an extra class either 1 level above or 1 below your own. We are still trying to figure out the best way to incorporate extra make up classes… Please be on the lookout for a notice within the coming weeks.
Congratulations and thank you for voting Florida Dance Workshop Charlotte County’s “Best Dance Studio” finalist and Holly Legare winner of Charlotte County’s “Best Dance Instructor” in the Charlotte Sun’s Charlottes Best newspaper ballot!
We have been so excited to have FDW Alumni, Clint Thompson back home teaching our kids this whole month while he’s in between professional endeavors! Clint graduated from Wagner Performing Arts College in NYC this past May and has already been performing with Dutch Apple Theater in Peter Pan, and Oct 1 will start working on the National Tour of Broadway’s Wizard of Oz, coming to a theater near us in the spring! So proud of the many professionally dancing alumni we’ve trained, and honored they are eager to come home and share their experiences with our dancers!

October is almost here, which means it’s time to honor the dress code. No pants, shirts, shorts, bare midriff permitted for ballet. Cami tops, sports tops, plain t’s (studio colors of black, red, white recommended) are allowed for other classes as well as dance pants, capris or shorts. Attendance is so important in all classes to ensure continued growth! We take both attendance and the dress code into consideration when choosing scholarship & trophy recipients at Showtime, as well as program & newspaper pictures!
Friendly reminder, monthly tuition must be paid in full each month. Late fees are assessed the 10th of each month. COSTUME FEES have also been added to the accounts. All costumes must be paid in full by Christmas break, December 15th 2017. We will be taking your child’s measurements in a couple months. Pictures of the costumes will be displayed in lobby after break.
Don’t forget to check lost and found regularly! It seems to grow weekly! Label all dance shoes and clothes for easier returning!
