Holly Legare is an award-winning performer who received her dance training at Florida Dance Workshop under the direction of Michelle Labousier Mandile. She has been dancing since the age of 4 and was proud to become the studio owner in 2016. In 2022 Holly began to performing Duo Lyra professionally and was featured in Cirque Du Voix, the Summer Circus Spectacular and with the Kids Beating Cancer Fundraising event. In addition to her training with FDW, Holly continued her performance education at Florida Atlantic University, the Houston Metropolitan Dance Center,  Cirque La Vie Company, and the Circus Arts Conservatory. Holly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and holds certificates from the National Strength & Conditioning Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. Holly is board certified by test to teach Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics, and Tap from the prestigious International Dance Masters of America and has completed Teachers Training School training program. Holly loves continuing the legacy and traditions passed down from the first Florida Dance Workshop in 1978.



Former Owner

Michelle is an award-winning choreographer/ teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience. Michelle grew up in her mother’s dance studio, Franklin Dance Workshop, In the Boston area. She has trained 1000s of dancers, many of whom have embarked on professional careers in dance, such as dancers on Broadway, Disney Cruise Ships, Professional Sports Teams, Movies, and Television. Her students have won numerous competition titles and top regional and national awards. They have also won many college/university dance scholarships. The National Foundation for the Arts has recognized her choreography, and she was the official choreographer for the Miss Teen USA Florida pageant two years in a row. Michelle not only trained Holly Legare but the rest of the staff as well. She is certified by test to teach in all dance styles by the prestigious Dance Masters of America. Michelle has received training in the prevention of injury to the dancer and attended dance teacher's training school through the Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston. She continues the legacy of over 50 years of dance passed on through her mother and Florida Dance Workshop’s founder and professional dancer, Susan Labousier Kickbush.



Andrea is an award-winning performer/choreographer who grew up in Florida Dance Workshop, training under Michelle Labousier Mandile. She earned numerous top scores as a performer, including 1st overall highest score of the day soloist, held lead roles in productions, including performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and has led FDW students in the same direction. Her choreography has been recognized and granted top judges awards throughout Florida. Andréa was the recipient of a full dance Scholarship to Franklin Pearce University, is a board-certified member of Dance Master’s of America, and has passed Module 1 of Acrobatic Arts Teacher Training. She has been a teacher with FDW for over ten years and the proud mother of 4 beautiful children.



Alicia grew up in Florida Dance Workshop, training under Michelle Labousier Mandile. During her formative years of training, she won top scores, scholarship awards, and titles. Alicia was named “Best in Show” out of all other entries at the I Love Dance International Competition. She competed throughout the country, including in NYC. Alicia continued her dance education at the University of Central Florida while pursuing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. While in college, Alicia auditioned and was accepted to be part of the traveling hip hop crew “Rukus” performing throughout the state. She has been teaching and choreographing for the Florida Dance Workshop for over five years. She also holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice.



We are excited to add Margaeux Valle to our teaching staff! Margaeux has been teaching Hip hop all over South Florida. Her passion for dance started at the age of 3, when she started taking classes in Boston. Margaeux has studied with world renowned choreographers all over Boston, Florida and LA. She can be seen as a featured dancer in commercials for Fiat, Tru TV, Panasonic, & American Apparel. Ms. Valle performed in music videos for Pitbul, Adrienne Bailon, & South Beach Tow in Miami. While living in LA for a year, she accomplished working with artists such as Wiz Kalifah, Kalin and Myles, Lil Debbie, Simon Rex & , and a film called “We Are Your Friends” starring Zack Efron. After attending Florida Atlantic University for Marketing, she relocated to the southwest coast of Florida and is excited to share her passion for dance with FDW students and working on projects in the area.



Kate is a lifetime member of Florida Dance Workshop. She began dancing with her older sister Alex at 4 and was soon joined by her sister, Lilly. After training in all dance styles, she became an award-winning member of our Ovations Competition Team and Florida Dance Company.

Kate has enjoyed performing for community and charitable events such as the Mistletoe Ball, The Veterans Parade, Charlotte County Christmas parade, the Homeless Coalition, and Relay for Life. In addition to dance, Miss Chalone was also an active member of the Charlotte Players' summer programs and performed in musicals such as “The Lion King”, “Singing in the Rain”, “High School Musical” and “Anything Goes”.

Kate spent many of her formative years as a class demonstrator. Since graduating high school, Kate has studied as a teaching apprentice at Florida Dance Workshop and began rigorous training with Dance Masters of America’s Teacher Training School’s 3-year program.

Kate loves working with students of all ages and is enjoying her time teaching beginning and intermediate levels.
