Susan (Labousier) Kickbush & Michelle Labousier are a mother/daughter team,
from
Michelle in mind as her successor. The team worked together and soon, under the direction of this dynamic duo, FDW quickly became recognized as the area’s “forerunner in dance education”.
When the time was right, Michelle took over the school, allowing Susan to pursue other areas of professional and educational interest. Although Susan is a full time Language Arts teacher at Murdock Middle School, she also finds time to run Drama classes and keep an active role as the Workshop's Artistic Advisor, and Master Guest
Teacher. Michelle, the Owner & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, instructs her dance students, PERSONALLY. Her services are rendered with experience, skill, and professional integrity. Alumnae trained under the proven "Workshop" curriculum, have been signed to contracts including those of professional "Broadway Shows", "Television", “Disney World”, “Eileen Ford Modeling”, and with international touring companies they performed in Italy with the Daniel Ezralow Company and on tour to Malaysia for “Gateway Theatrical Productions”. They have also been accepted to world-renowned programs; including “Julliard”, the "Joffrey", and “Alvin Ailey”. Workshop dancers have also been awarded scholarships to high schools
such as the Walnut Hill School
and colleges as well as

It is our goal to make classes and rehearsals fun, but we are serious about helping each child become his or her own personal best. We teach that hard work produces results and we help our dancers to achieve the genuine self-esteem that comes with "mastery of technique". These important lessons also apply to life’s future challenges. We believe in seeking, not perfection, but excellence from all students, with the understanding that it be appropriate to their age level, ability, and interest. Finally, Florida Dance Workshop will never aspire to be the biggest school, but we will always strive to be the best! A little History…
