Welcome to that start of our 30th Season!! Please remember to work hard, don’t compare yourselves to others, and strive to be your own personal best! Most of our classes are nearly full, but we do have scattered openings in some classes. Don’t forget about our “Refer A Friend” program, for every “New” student you bring to “register” you will receive $30 off your tuition for the following month! Be sure to follow up with Diane OfficeFDW@gmail.comto confirm your referral credit. Limit 1 family credit per new, enrolled student.
Be sure to check the Parent Portal under “Shared Files” for the Studio Handbook, Dress Code, & COVID Guidelines. These documents have the answers to ALL of your questions. Dancenews-Attachment-COVID-Dress-Code-Dates-Handbook.pdf We recommend printing & saving for future reference. If you need your password reset for the portal, please email Holly atFloridaDanceWorkshop@gmail.com. You can log into your Portal by clicking the “Parent Portal” link on the main menu at www.floridadanceworkshop.com. ALL communication will be made via email and text, and ALL documents will be posted in the Parent Portal under Shared Files. Please take moment to log into the Portal this weekend and make sure all the appropriate waivers are digitally signed. ALL parents must agree to our “Main Waiver” and “COVID Waiver”, Ovations and Dance Company member must also agree to the “Team Waiver” in the portal. All of this must be done before class starts Monday please. Thank you!
Please have hair pulled back from face, & no shirts, shorts, pants or bare midriffs for ballet classes. Please keep in mind that dancers must wear tight fitting minimal attire for certain classes. Much like working out at the gym, dancers need to have freedom of movement without clothes getting in the way…they also need to be aware of their body lines & muscle development. We do have some dancewear in stock, please see Bev at the front desk if you need any shoes or dancewear.
Calling all Intermediate dancers ages 6-10! We have some NEW classes on the schedule for you to check out! Musical Theatre Tuesdays 4:30-5:15PM, Jazz/Lyrical Tuesdays 5:15-6 & Ballet/Tap Wednesdays 4:45-5:45. Please log into your parent portal for more information.
Friendly reminder that due to COVID guidelines and the need to keep traffic in the studio at a minimum, there is NO IN STUDIO OBSERVATION at this time. We look forward to the day when this is all over and we can welcome all of our families in to watch classes. In the meantime, our Kinder, Beginner, and Intermediate classes all have Zoom links & passwords you can find in the Parent Portal under “bulletin board” to observe if you wish. Parents of younger dancers, please stay close by in case we need to get you.
We would like to remind you that we follow the CharlotteCounty School schedule! If there is no school, there is no dance school! If there is ever a question feel free to call us at 941-743-2115.
ATTENTION SILKS CLASSES: There had been some discussion about postponing the start of class until January. Holly has decided to start class in September and will see how it goes. Please check emails and look out for announcements incase she has to temporarily pause the classes due to her pregnancy. Thank you for your understanding.
The first couple weeks are exciting yet hectic, please be patient as there could be a lot of switching around & some larger classes that will be thinned out! Please trust that we will place your child in the level to the best of their ability.
