April 2020 Dance News: Showtime Updates & More!
Hello dancers and families!!
We can’t tell you how much we miss you all and like everyone, we look so forward to get back to our normal lives! We understand everybody has had so many adjustments to make during this time, and dance is no different! We LOVE seeing the majority of you on ZOOM each week, and thankful to have technology to keep us engaged! It’s so important to stay in shape, but also have some sense of normalcy keeping dance as an outlet during these times.
Showtime 2020 Updates
We know everyone is just as anxious as we are to get working on Showtime 2020, and we are doing just that! We are EXCITED to announce that we have secured a NEW DATE!!! Due to lack of rehearsal time, and the possibility of facilities still being closed, we are fortunate enough to have been able to reserve JULY 31-AUG 1 for SHOWTIME 2020 “EMERGE”!!! This will be in lieu of our regular summer classes, as we will stick to our normal schedule for June and July. After Showtime, we will take a break to adjust to getting back to school.
Tickets for the show will go on sale soon, we are just waiting to see what social distancing guidelines may be needed.
We understand some may have summer vacations plans, and if they are still allowed to happen, of course you can still partake, and ensure your spot in Showtime! We will send out our “back on the dance floor” schedule as soon as we are able to get back in the studio. (The schedule will basically remain the same as the previous, with a few adjustments for Ovations group rehearsals, which may change times slightly).

Program Ad Sales are now OPEN for Showtime 2020
We are looking for businesses of all kinds to purchase ads in this year’s Program book. The Ad Sales support our annual scholarship program throughout the year to keep kids dancing! Each Showtime we award the following scholarships:

for students excelling in school with A/B report cards

Congratulations to our 3 State Title Winners!
Some of our dancers traveled to Orlando to compete and take classes in the Dance Masters of America, Florida chapter 2, title competition! They were not only judged on their performance, but also on the classes they took, and a judges interview!

Our title winners will be competing at Nationals for the finals in July.

We are excited to have our schedule for the 2020-2021 Season ready! Our next regular season will run Sept 1st 2020 to June 5th 2021! Auditions for our 2021 Ovations competition team and Florida Dance Company will be held the week of Aug 24th to Aug 27th 2020. Details and exact schedule to be announced soon.
Please know we are constantly taking cleaning and sanitation very seriously while we are on hiatus ! We promise the studio will remain spotless to keep you healthy upon our return!
