Hi Dancers!
It’s mid November already! This year is flying by just like the others! We will be starting your routines for Showtime 19’ shortly! Keep practicing, you all look fantastic! Remember, SHOWTIME IS FRIDAY & SATURDAY JUNE 7 & 8, 2019!!
If anyone happens to go to Orlando over the holidays, try to Check out FDW dancers, Lauren Hoefer, Katy Santamaria and Nikki Blazekovic dancing at Universal Studios! Nikki has many other performances in the Orlando area as well! FDW dancer’s had a blast (as usual) Performing at Dean’s South of the Border Halloween Party, as well as the Veteran’s Parade and Veterans services at Faith Life Church! We are looking forward to representing our studio at The Downtown Punta Gorda Tree Lighting, Mistletoe Ball, for the Homeless Coalition, The North Port Dance Invitational, and of course the Christmas Parade! Hanna Iversen and Luna Del Pino have Multiple parts in the upcoming Nutcracker as well!
The Charlotte County Christmas Parade is coming! Saturday Dec 8 is the big day! Our float/truck will reflect the Chamber of Commerce’s theme “Christmas Through the Years” We are asking everyone to please sign up in the lobby (if you haven’t already) so we can give you your “special” part! Hair and Make – Up should be fun and festive! The parade will begin at Charlotte High in Punta Gorda. Find our group to drop off your children. The parade begins at noon. Ovations and Company members please arrive by 10:30, 7 & up please arrive at 11:15, 3-6 yrs please arrive by 11:45. You can pick them up at The Event Center Parking Lot where the parade ends. We will need chaperones to wear red and white. We will be having a refreshment party immediately following the parade at the disbanding area at The Event Center Lot, we are asking parents to please bring individually wrapped snacks and juice boxes or water to the studio the WEEK BEFORE the parade, we will not have room on the truck that day! We also need a “Refreshment Coordinator” to set up the refreshments the day of the parade at the end of the route. Please send your child with 1 bottle of water that day, while they are waiting to start. A sign-up poster is in Lobby area & online! Thank you! (More info to follow). Also, no need to sign up more than once as we will consolidate the in studio & online lists soon!
Reminder: November Tuition is now due along with your costume payments. Please be sure to pay tuition on time, a $10 late fee will be added to your account after the 10th for each month overdue. We thank you for your attention. Don’t forget to Bring A Friend and receive credit toward your tuition! (Email our accountant Diane if you have questions…. OfficeFDW@gmail.com) We have a few openings in our Beginner level classes ages 5-7 as well as the new cheer and adult classes!
All costumes must be paid in full by Christmas Break. Thank you! Don’t forget Party Week begins December 17. The class schedule changes that week! Look forward to your next dancenews for your schedule that week only ☺
Please be sure your child is wearing the proper attire for class. Proper attire is essential to promote self discipline, character, and it is extremely important for them and the instructors to see and correct body lines. NO SHIRTS, SHORTS or bare midriff for ballet! Remember to make up any class missed to stay in shape! 
Don’t forget to bring in your Honor Roll report cards, to hang on display! A trophy will again be awarded on stage at Showtime by drawing, in addition to our many other trophies and awards!
January 18th at 7PM at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center (at CHS) our Ovations Competition Team will be having their 2nd annual Fundraising Showcase. Presale tickets can be purchased BEFORE JANUARY 18 online at https://dancestudio-pro.com/tickets/floridadanceworkshop Adults: $15 / Under 18: $10. Tickets will be $18 at the door for all, so please purchase ahead of time to save money!:)
